Hydraulic Automatic and Traction Manual Elevator Rescue

The elevator type and required rescue sequence determine which loads need backup power and how the controller uses that power.

Hydraulic automatic rescue

In a compatible hydraulic automatic rescue installation, the controller manages the lowering and door sequence using the emergency power available to its rescue circuits. The power source and control interface must support the sequence specified by the controller manufacturer.

The LR750 provides AC rescue power; it does not independently determine a landing or replace the elevator controller's operating logic. Confirm the connected controller, valve, door, and other rescue loads for the installation.

Traction manual rescue

For a traction manual rescue application, backup power supports the functions required by the installation's documented manual rescue procedure. This differs from automatically powering the traction drive to move a car to a landing.

The LR750's traction manual rescue application must not be interpreted as approval for every traction controller or as a traction motor power rating. The interface and loads require application review. Any manual rescue procedure is for authorized, qualified personnel.

Where MRL fits

Machine Room Less describes the elevator's installation arrangement. It does not establish whether the elevator is hydraulic or traction, or whether rescue is automatic or manual. The LR750-MRL configuration addresses enclosure fit in restricted controller-cabinet space.

Select the drive application, voltage, and rescue mode separately from the enclosure. Use the MRL dimensional drawing to verify mounting space.

Confirm the complete application

Provide the controller model, drawings, required voltage, rescue loads, and operating sequence when discussing an LR750. The current manual documents generation timing, safety input, status signals, and communication details that must be considered together.
